Rodu working well with Fiji U23

Fiji U23 Coach Marika Rodu says it serves the team well that majority of the players in the squad were part of the National Team.

Rodu has  named the squad to face Tonga this afternoon and he has full faith that the team will do wonders.

Some of these guys at one point in time had come into the National men’s team set up. Five went to the Pacific Games, so for me to transition into this team was quiet easy but it comes with its own challenges. Ba’s Kishan Sami and Rewa’s Savenaca Baledrokadroka have been named to lead Fiji as co-captains.

Players such as Ivan Kumar, Muni Shivam Naidu, Jovilisi Borisi, Joeli Ranitu and Scott Wara have been named in the squad.

Fiji takes on Tonga in their first pool match of the OFC Olympic qualifiers at 3pm this afternoon at Churchill Park in Lautoka and you can catch the live commentary of this match on Radio Fiji Two.
