Nadi through to IDC semi-final

The Nadi football team has become the second team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Courts IDC at Prince Charles Park after beating Nasinu one-nil.

They join Ba in the last four.

The Green Machine went all out from the first whistle but Nasinu goalkeeper Josaia Ratu was on top of his game denying any goals against him.

The hosts did not let their fans down as in the 10th minute of the second half, Nadi received a penalty and captain Rusiate Matarerega did not make any mistake from the spot-kick.

Nasinu went down to ten men when Jone Naraba was shown a red card in the second half.

After Nadi’s win, its a do or die situation for Rewa when they face Suva at 3pm.

The Delta Tigers need a win to qualify for the semi-finals, while Suva just needs a draw.

Lautoka is currently playing Tavua and both teams are locked at nil-all.

In the last game of the day will see Labasa against Ba at 5pm.

The Men in Black has already qualified for the semi-finals while Labasa needs a draw to confirm its place in the last four.

In the Senior Division, Lami defeated Northland Tailevu 2-0 to top its pool and will face Navua in the first semifinal while Savusavu will play Nadroga in the second semi-final.
