The Lautoka Football side is confident of a good semi-final performance against Nadi tomorrow.

Coach Kamal Swamy says as host they suffer a lot of pressure to end their 17-year title drought.

“Being the team that hasn’t won since 2002 is another pressure plus the three opponent that has been coming into this tournament has as semi-finalist are top teams. We need to perform to the expectation so that we can play well first and see how it goes in the tournament.”

Swamy says they will not underestimate the Nadi side as they are one of the tough teams in the competition.

Nadi Football Captain Vereti Dickson says they are aware that Lautoka will field a strong outfit tomorrow, but they’ll not be intimidated.

“You see Lautoka has a pretty good team. They are much experienced than us Nadi team. We have many young players in the team and the boys are doing well too and we’re all looking forward to the game tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Nadi will meet Lautoka in the first Fiji FACT semi-final at 1.30pm tomorrow before Suva take on Ba at 3.30pm in the second semi-final.

The final will be played at 3pm on Sunday.

All matches will be played at Lautoka’s Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentaries on Radio Fiji Two.
