Lautoka football receives $50K boost

The Lautoka football today received a major boost ahead of its OFC Champions League campaign this year.

The Fiji Football Association together with its major sponsors Vodafone, today handed a cheque of $50,000 to the last years Champions League finalist.

Lautoka president Abdul Kadar says they preparation for OCL is on track.

“We have been trying to have our team ready for the OFC Champions League. As you know we played in the final last year. Every team wants to win so we are also looking forward to winning the OCL.”

Ba football also received their share of the sponsorship as they also being to prepare for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, in the Vodafone Premier League matches this weekend, Labasa faces Ba at 1.15pm at Subrail Park on Saturday.

Three matches will be played on Sunday, all starting at 3pm, Rewa hosts Nasinu at Ratu Cakobau Park, Lautoka plays Suva at Churchill Park and Tavua meets Nadi at Garvey Park.
