Labasa football coach Ronil Lal has credited the hard work and determination shown by his players during the Inkk Mobile BOG Tournament after the side beat Lautoka 1-nil last night to win the title after 22 years.

Lal says the preparation put in by the players has been outstanding.

“They have been working very hard for the past few weeks and we have sacrificed a lot, the families have also sacrificed and the officials have put in a lot of work and at the end it was a sweet victory.”

Lal says the message from the sideline was for the strikers to work extra hard.

This resulted in Siotame Kubu scoring the lone goal in the 79^th minute of play and also breaking the hearts of the Blues players and fans at Churchill Park.

Kubu the player of the tournament also praised the efforts of his teammates.

“To my brothers its been a great journey for us and also a tough one as we had to travel back to Labasa and be back for the semifinals but we have overcome that by winning this tournament.”

He also dedicated the win to his family who were presented at Churchill Park.
