The Labasa football side is calling on its fans to back the team with Suva now hosting the first leg of the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion series.

The first leg will be held at the ANZ Stadium and the Northerners believe Suva will be a much stronger side on their home turf.

Although Labasa has had some success on the ground, defending the Inter-District Championship title last year at the Stadium, Coach Ronil Lal says they will need all the support they can get.

He says support will be a key factor in their campaign to defend the CvC title.

“Please do come out and support the team, last year you came out in numbers to support us at the ANZ Stadium during the IDC and here at Subrail Park during the Fiji FACT so I urge you to come and support us. The team is again rebuilding.”

Lal says over the years the team has excelled with the prayers and well-wishes from families and friends.

Labasa takes on Suva next Friday at 7pm.

The next leg will be held on Sunday at 3pm at Nausori’s Ratu Cakobau Park.
