Fijian wonder boy Roy Krishna netted a historic double for the Wellington Phoenix to help his side to a 3-3 away draw with Melbourne Victory in the A-League last night.
By scoring his second, Krishna became the first player in A-League history to score three consecutive doubles.
Krishna transformed the contest early in the game by winning a penalty, scoring it, and netting once more.
Josh Hoe caught Krishna’s trailing leg in the box on 19 minutes, allowing the Fijian to thump home the spot kick past Lawrence Thomas.
The result lengthens Wellington’s unbeaten run to nine, but keeps them in the fifth place on the table.
