National Coach Christophe Gamel says he was disappointed with the outcome of the fitness test he conducted before making his selection.

Gamel says the players need to quickly pick up their fitness level in order to match the fast-paced New Caledonia side in its friendly match tomorrow.

“I conducted a test for their physical and fitness level and the result was not so pleasing. We need to lift up their fitness level to the next level otherwise it’s going to be hard for everyone.”

The Fiji Football side will face a tough friendly encounter against New Caledonia at 7.30pm tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
