Fiji football team loses to New Caledonia

The Fiji Men’s Football team lost to New Caledonia 1-0 in their third pool match.

New Caledonia’s goal was scored by Jean – Philippe Saiko in the 42nd minute of play from the penalty spot.

New Caledonia scored through a penalty which captain Roy Krishna says is quite unfortunate for them.

Coach Christophe Gamel says they have to step up against Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

New Caledonia was down to ten men when their player was shown a red card after two yellow cards.

Fiji will now play Tuvalu at 12pm this Monday.

Fiji earlier defeated Tahiti 2-1 and thrashed American Samoa 9-0.
