Fiji Football await statement from Nabenu

The Fiji Football Association is waiting for a statement from Ba football utility Simione Nabenu on the allegations against national coach Christophe Gamel.

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel says only then they will be able to decide on the next step.

Patel says Kalaveti Sivoi, Amena Bola and Kini Madigi have already been interviewed by a committee assigned to investigate on the alleged matter.

The four players were tested drug positive and have been suspended for a month.

Ba football side has named these players in its extended list for the OFC Champions League.

Manager Arvin Singh hopes they will be cleared soon.

“Yes definitely, four of my young players they are not playing with us. They are out at the moment but by next week they will cleared and they will be in the squad and will be part of side”

Ba goes on a break to prepare for the OFC Champions League from this week.

Meanwhile, in the Vodafone Premier League this weekend, Suva faces Nasinu at 3pm at ANZ Stadium on Sunday and at the same time Nadi hosts Rewa at Prince Charles Park.
