The Fiji Football Association will soon have no choice but to ban fans who threaten match officials from attending games.

Fiji FA is making its stand known as two referees have been threatened in a space of two weeks.

The first incident happened two weeks ago after an alleged assault on the match referee by a Rewa player in their Youth Play-Off match against Ba.

Last weekend after the Rewa-Nadi Vodafone Premier League clash, the referee was threatened by Nadi fans.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf says football hooliganism has no place in the country.

Yusuf adds destructive behaviour perpetrated by spectators is unacceptable and their next course of action will definitely send the message across.

“We will still be identifying those hooligans and we’ll ban them from entering the ground because hooliganism has no place in football”.

Meanwhile, in round three of the VPL this weekend, Rewa will play Labasa at Subrail Park tomorrow at 1:30pm while Nadi host Nasinu at Prince Charles Park at 3pm on Sunday.
