Eight of the Jacks Nadi Football team players have been suspended while the Coach Pranesh Amarsee has stepped down from his position.

The eight are Ame Votonui, Vuniuci Tikomaimereke, Christopher Kumar, Patrick Joseph, Mataiasi Toma, Jone Ralulu, Husseini Khan and Josevata Malakai.

FBC Sports understands that these players had gone out of the stadium after their match which finished after 1pm.

We have tolerated this for too long and we want to make sure that we have discipline in the team. Therefore 8 players have been dropped from the squad and definitely suspended until we take further action on them.

Ahmad has revealed that in the meantime, Aginesh Prasad will be assisting the team in coaching.

He has also assured Nadi fans that they will be fielding a strong squad against Labasa this afternoon and will put up a fight to bring the 2019 IDC title home.

Nadi will face Labasa in the first IDC semifinal at 4pm today while in the second semifinal Suva will meet Ba at 6pm.

The final will begin from 3pm tomorrow at Prince Charles Park in Nadi and you can catch the live commentaries of all three matches on Radio Fiji two.
