Business House Futsal designs to promote healthy living

The 2019 Ovaltine Suva Business House Futsal Soccer League played from 8pm to 11pm is designed to promote healthy living and to combat non-communicable diseases.

Futsal event coordinator Sidanth Chand says the demand from futsal lovers around the country continues to increase.

Chand says they have managed to register 32 teams this year compared to 20 last year.

“As you can see majority of the teams are high-end earning teams so they finish off around 5pm or 6pm. There’s ample time for them to have their family time and then come back to indulge in this sport as we are trying to a healthy living for all. To have the game from 8pm-11pm ensures the players get enough family after work and at the same time they commit to healthy way of living.”

The tournament will continue for the next 15 weeks at the National Hockey centre in Suva.
