Bainivalu expected to play a vital role for Lautoka in OFC League

Lautoka football defender Poasa Bainivalu is expected to play vital role in the defense when they take on Morobe Wawens in their opening OFC Champions League match on Sunday.

Bainivalu says they are ready to make a flying start and reach the final once again this year.

“We are looking forward to the Champions League and last year we lost in the final. We hope we will go another level this year. It’s a new start and a new game. We are looking forward to February 10th to come so that we can regroup and being on high this year.”

The former Lautoka Central College Under-19 captain re-joined the Blues early last year after a short stint with Suva.

The other teams is Lautoka’s pool includes Central Sport of Tahiti and Henderson Eels of Solomon Islands.

They host Morobe Wanens at Churchill Park at 3pm Sunday.
