Ba moves up the VPL standing after beating Tavua

The Ba Football side has moved to the top of the Vodafone Premier League standings with 16 points after beating Tavua 2-0 this afternoon.

It was a tough match between the two western sides as they both remain goalless in the first half of the match.

Avinesh Swamy than netted the first goal of the match in the second half of the game to break the deadlock and put Ba ahead of Tavua 1-0.

The second goal was scored by Shazeel Ali to increase their lead 2-0 and seal the victory.

The ‘men in black’ now bagged its five straight VPL win and remain undefeated so far.

Meanwhile, the Blues are now in second place with 13 points and Labasa is currently in third place with 11 points.
