The Vodafone Fiji football side is expected to improve its rankings if they perform well in its next two international outings.

The matches against 120th placed Kyrgyzstan and 80th ranked Estonia could be a turning point for the national side in terms of securing bigger matches.

Fiji FA Chief Executive, Mohammed Yusuf says, the upcoming two matches will give the team another chance to further improve this.

“It will be great football. Let’s hope that our team can do well. We are investing so much money in sending this boys out to Asia for exposure as that is where we believe we can make our mark and improve our football.”

The last time Fiji played a team from the top 100 was in 2002 against Australia where we got thumped 8-nil.

Fiji takes on Kyrgyzstan in Malaysia on the 10th of next month while we hosts Estonia at Suva’s ANZ Stadium nine days later.
