Foot injuries and heat at kaji rugby

Lack of footwear and the dry heat of Nadi is taking its toll on players at the Milo Kaji rugby tournament in Nadi.

Medical staff and team coaches are being kept busy with keeping their players hydrated while foot injuries are becoming a concern.

Rural district teams fielding mostly barefoot players are the ones suffering the most.

Organisers have promised to monitor every situation.

As Day One draws to a close, Suva, Nasinu and Nadroga have had strong performances.
