FNRL to host two overseas touring team: Musunamasi

The Fiji National Rugby League is set to host two overseas touring teams next month.

The Fiji Sports Council gave a grant of one-hundred and twelve thousand dollars to FNRL to cover the expenses of the series.

FNRL Chair Peni Musunamasi says the Fiji Residents, Australian Affiliated States and Barla from the UK will play each other in a Tri-Series where the top two will play in the final.

“Fiji Residents trial will be held on the 3rd of next month which will be held here in Suva. East and West they’ve been monitoring their fitness and the team will be coached by Vela Tawake and assisted by Joe Rabele.”

Fiji plays the Australian team on the 15th of November at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park and then takes on Barla on the 17that Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

The final is schedules on the 23rd of next month.
