FNRL not happy with Pacific Games result

The Fiji National Rugby League is still trying to find out the cause of the national team’s demise at the recent Pacific Games.

Heading into the tournament as defending champions, Fiji was beaten 16-14 by Tonga in the bronze medal play-off.

Speaking on FBC TV’s Sports Lounge show last night, Fiji National Rugby League Acting General Manager, Ilaitia Naqau, says they were disappointed with the result.

“We have inquires going on as well to find out what went wrong what went wrong and let not make the mistake and go down that road again. Lets do it the way we have been used to and we are trying to get all the facts on what really went wrong and move forward.”

PNG won gold, Samoa silver and Tonga the bronze at the games.
