September 17, 2012 12:35 am

Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL) development officer, Sale Tubuna says the Inter Zone Conference games this week will assist with national selection.

The FNRL is in the process of selecting a Fiji Residents team for next month’s Battle of the Bati and Tubuna says this week’s games will help identify potential reps.

“Apart from the fitness tests, these games will serve as a trial for players – the conference teams will compete in their zones before an East and West team is chosen to play on Saturday – they will then be chosen for the Fiji Residents to compete in the Battle of the Bati on October 3rd.”
