“Apart from updates of the World Cup next year, we also want to improve relations with Rugby League in England to see how we can explore more opportunities for our players to play overseas and likewise, bring teams over to train in Fiji. As he is in charge of the World Cup next year, we will also look forward to seeing what’s being prepared for the Fiji Bati when in England for the event.”

FNRL development officers and national assistant coach, Jo Dakuitoga are currently monitoring local squad members.

The Battle of the Bati tournament in October will serve as a trial for the national team to the World Cup in England.
