Flying Fijians work on ruck areas

August 24, 2015 4:29 am

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will use this week mainly to work on the ruck areas of the game as they prepare for next month’s Rugby World Cup.

Coach, John McKee says this is a crucial area of the game where the team needs to be smart.

“We will do quite a bit of work around the ruck area. That’s going to be a big area in the Rugby World Cup. Contests when teams will try to slow our ball down, we need to be very effective and make sure we get good clean balls without putting too many players in. We also have to be very disciplined around that area so we don’t give away penalties for side entry or off the feet or hands in the ruck.”
