Flying Fijians work on perfecting play

June 16, 2014 6:54 pm

The Vodafone Flying Fijians rugby team still needs more work to perfect their play before they face Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup match in Suva this weekend.

Head coach John McKee starts preparation with the team in Suva today.

McKee says defence is one area, the Samoans will target on game day.

“To keep up with our attack as we had some very good attack against Tonga and we need to keep part of our game strong. We also need to work on our defence and we started off well against Tonga but we let off a little bit in the second half so we need to work on defence and work rate on that area.”

The team defeated Tonga 45-17 in its opening PNC clash last Saturday and earlier beat Italy 25-14 in a one-off Test.

Fiji takes on Samoa at 3pm at ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentary on Bula FM with the voice of rugby Graham Eden.
