Close to half of the Flying Fijians 30-man squad went through their first training session at Buckhurst Park in Suva with coach John McKee.

Flying Fijians captain Akapusi Qera with other overseas-based reps Campese Ma’afu, Tuapati Talemaitoga, Api Naikatini, Jim Nagusa and Metuisela Talebula were present today.

McKee says expects his full squad in by Monday to prepare for their first Test against Italy on June 7 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

Assistant coaches Mosese Rauluni and Andre Bell, Alan Muir and Alifereti Mocelutu each got a hand in with the players today.

Also at training were standby players Emori Waqa, Henry Seniloli and Watisoni Votu.
