August 11, 2015 12:28 am

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will be undergoing a lot of on field work during its camp, which starts tomorrow in Suva in the build-up to the Rugby World Cup.

The 38-member preliminary squad marches into camp in Suva tomorrow, before coach John McKee names his final 31 players for the World Cup.

Mckee says the camp will be one where the coaching staff will be working on all aspects of the game to ensure the team is fully ready for the start of the tournament.

“After our medical screening and testing, then it’s really straight into rugby this camp. It’s a pretty tough camp in terms that work we need to get through and also the reconditioning for our fitness and we want to work on fitness through our rugby so it will be quite intensive field rugby session, which will be developing our skills and game plan under lots of pressure and also developing our fitness and need to be at a higher level we were at PNC.”

Fiji is pooled with hosts England, Australia, Wales and Uruguay in Pool A for the World Cup. The side takes on England on September 19 at 7am.
