Flying Fijians ready to topple Tonga

July 6, 2017 12:32 am

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee says, his team has enough experience to topple Tonga and Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup.

Last year, Fiji beat both here and know the onus is on the Flying Fijians to continue the form in order to finish as Oceania’s top qualifier for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

McKee says his team is mentally prepared for the two brutal encounters.

“We know that the fans will be very vocal behind the Tongan team but that is why we have picked a very experienced group for these two games and it’s about our mental preparation, about our focus on the game, it’s about remaining clear headed under pressure so that we can execute our game.”

Fiji plays Tonga at 2pm on Saturday before facing Samoa in Apia next week.
