Flying Fijians ready for Tongan onslaught

June 19, 2012 5:03 am

The Flying Fijians are getting ready to face a Tongan onslaught this weekend.
Three days and counting, coach Inoke Male admits there are weaknesses in the team that led to the losses in the last two encounters.

He says it’s the set pieces to the offloads.

“There are some weaknesses in the team. The set pieces from the line-outs. The scrums where the back three are staring up. There are 50-50 passes. These are some of the weaknesses that we have identified.”

Going into the game, the Flying Fijians will have to exorcise the demons of last year when the Ikale Tahi ran riot and smashed Fiji 45-21.

The match kicks off at 3.30pm at Churchill Park this Saturday.
