Flying Fijians prepares for last match against Tonga

June 17, 2018 6:01 pm

Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach John McKee says the players’ need to maintain their consistency throughout the whole minute of play if they are to defend the Pacific Nations Cup this weekend.

McKee says there was a lack of physicality in the first half despite their 37-15 win over Georgia on Saturday.

He says the Fijians did not get their set piece right as they didn’t start the game the way he wanted in the first spell.

“First half we almost played a little bit too much rugby and maybe we didn’t quite have enough physicality in the first half to allow Georgia to score tries.”

Fiji will now face Tonga at 3.30pm this Saturday in the last PNC match at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
