Flying Fijians make seven changes

August 3, 2015 12:57 am

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach, John McKee has made seven changes to his side that beat Japan last week for the Pacific Nations Cup final match against Samoa tomorrow.

The most notable change is regular winger, Waisea Nayacalevu shifting to outside centre, ahead of Vereniki Goneva.

McKee says Nayacalevu is not new to the position, having worn the number 13 jersey for Top 14 champions, Stade Francais on several occasion during the 2014/2015 season.

Gabby Lovobalavu partners Nayacalevu at inside centre ahead of Levani Botia.

Veteran hooker, Sunia Koto comes in for Talemaitoga Tuapati while Akapusi Qera replaces Malakai Ravulo at openside flanker, making way for Sakiusa Matadigo at number 8.

Versatile halfback, Nikola Matawalu makes his first start in the position this season with Nemia Kenatale relegated to the bench.

Asaeli Tikoirotuma replaces Napolioni Nalaga at blindside wing.

The Flying Fijians will take on Samoa in the PNC final at 12pm tomorrow (Fiji Time) in Vancouver, Canada.
