June 23, 2014 6:59 pm

The Vodafone Flying Fijians side has been keeping close tabs on the Cook Islands team, who they face in a 2015 Rugby World Cup qualifier in Lautoka on Saturday.

The winner of the match will earn a ticket to the World Cup in England and be pooled with Australia, England, Wales and a play-off winner.

Fijian mentor John McKee says the Cooks will not be a pushover side.

“From our feedback from their pre-tournament games in New Zealand, they gave a very strong forward pack and they will be competitive in ruck areas, so we need to be on top of our game. We want to play to our strengths, which mean we want win good quality ball for our back line.”

The Cooks arrived into the country yesterday and will be training in the west from today.

The Fijians also get into the training from today in Nadi.

The match starts at 3pm and you can catch a live commentary on BULA FM.
