July 25, 2014 12:20 am

The Vodafone Flying Fijians have been given three Test matches during the end-of-the-year tour to Europe.

Fiji will take on France on November 9, Wales on November 16 before taking on the USA, a week later.

IRB Head of Competition and Performance Mark Egan says this year’s November internationals will give crucial preparation opportunities to all World Cup 2015 participating nations.

He says part of IRB’s strategy is to provide quality Test competition on a regular basis for Tier Two nations in order to boost the competitiveness of the game, and there is no doubt that the forthcoming November internationals, coupled with their portfolio of strategic investment competitions in June, will help achieve that.

Egan adds, they were very pleased to see Fiji, Samoa and Japan secure victories against Tier One opponents Italy in June and both Canada and USA put in very competitive performances against Scotland.
