The second half started well for Fiji as centre, Gabriel Lovobalavu dummied and stepped his way past defenders to score Fiji’s fourth try.

Flyhalf Ben Volavola added a penalty to take Fiji’s tally to 27-10.

The Samoans soon found their rhythm as they stormed back with three tries to Anthony Perenise, Paul Perez and TJ Ioane to level the scores at 27-all with five minutes remaining.

Volavola looked to have sealed the win for Fiji with a successful penalty two minutes from time to inch ahead 30-27.

Another infringement by Fiji saw Samoa flyhalf, Michael Stanley convert a penalty to level the scores 30-all at the stroke of full-time.
