Former national rep, Filimoni Delasau has hailed the current Vodafone Flying Fijians side as the best ever team to compete in a Rugby World Cup.
One of Fiji’s stars at the 2007 World Cup, where the side reached the quarterfinals, Delasau was at Nadi International Airport yesterday to farewell the team before it departed for England.
The retired international believes the side has enough flair and experience to match any team in the competition.
“Well not disregarding the teams that have played before but for me as a rugby player; this team that is going to the 2015 Rugby World Cup is the best ever team to leave our shores.”
Fiji takes on England in its first match of the World Cup at 7am on September 19th.
