Flying Fijians beat Samoa to retain PNC title

The Vodafone Flying Fijians has successfully defended the Pacific Nations Cup title defeating Samoa 38-16 at Apia Park today.

Fiji started the match well as Henry Seniloli scored two tries while Samoan captain David Lemi scored a try with his first-five Tusi Pisi adding three penalties to see the home side leading 16-14 at the break.

Seniloli completed his hat rick two minutes into the second spell to regain the lead, 19-16.

Fiji produced a great second spell as tries to Jale Vatubua and Api Ratuniyarawa saw Fiji retain its PNC title.

The John McKee coached side scored 24 unanswered points in the second spell.

Meanwhile, Tonga qualified as the second Oceania team for the 2019 RWC as the huge loss to Samoa saw them finish third.
