Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee says he has not faced any problems with clubs refusing to release players for national duties this year.
In the past years Pacific teams such Fiji, Samoa and Tonga have had issues with overseas clubs not releasing players under World Rugby’s Regulation Nine.
McKee says the support from the clubs has made life much easier for him.
“We haven’t had any issues this Rugby World Cup which is great. Couple of things have happened and on one hand from our point of view, we at the union we have had much better communication with the clubs and outlining to the clubs and what our plans are and what players we have our eyes on.”
Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians take on Samoa in the Pacific Nations Cup on Saturday at 12 noon.
