First Light and Naweni through to Cup semi-final

First Light Taveuni is the first team to book its place in the cup semi-finals of the Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7’s after beating Naweni 14-7 in the first Quarterfinal.
Taveuni scored two tries in the first half to put them into the lead 14-0 at half time.

Naweni then scored its lone try in the second half.
In the second cup quarterfinal Natadra Young boys have also progressed to the semis after beating Savuiqali 19-0.

In the bowl quarter finals, covenant brothers have won by default over Bainivualiku, while Nadavacagi beat FBC Gaunavou 17-0. Laucala beats Nailou 12-nil and Naweni II beat Nasinu Young Boys 20-5.

In the bowl semi-finals Covenant Brothers will play Nadavaci and Laucala plays Naweni.

And in the plate semi-finals Nasinu Brothers will meet St Theresa and Somosomo Sharks takes on Korolevu.

Meanwhile in the FBC under-20’s quarterfinals St Threresa beat Sabeto 12-0 while Vueti Cakau beat Brothers 19-0. Sagale has also progressed to the under-20’s semis thrashing Sting Rays 29-7 and Kui ni Wailevu comes in to final four edging St Bedes 19-7.

The Under 20’s semi-final fixtures will see St Theresa play Vueti Cakau in the first semi-finals while Sagale takes Kui ni Wailevu in the second semi-final.
