This has helped the Fiji Women’s 7s side book a spot in the Cup Quarterfinals at the Cape Town tournament.

Meanwhile in their second pool match last night, the Fijiana put up a courageous performance against New Zealand despite going down 12-10.

Bone crunching tackles were the highlight of the first half from the Fijian which rattled the Black Ferns.
New Zealand was leading 7-5 at half time.

It was New Zealand who registered the first try of the second spell before Asinate Savu pulled one back for the Fijiana.
