The Fiji Airways womens 7s side remains winless after their two pool matches in the Sydney tournament currently underway Allianz Stadium.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side went down to Canada in the opening game by 24-12 and then lost to Russia by 17-12.

They will play Ireland at 4.40pm in the last pool match.

The Fijiana side needs to win its final game, to stand a chance of qualifying to the Cup quarterfinals tomorrow.

Meanwhile in the other matches, New Zealand thumped Japan 48-7, France thumped Papua New Guinea by 50 nil.
