The Fijiana have qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

PNG threatened Fiji with some of their own flair but good defense paid off for Fiji with Viniana Riwai crossing for the team’s second try.

Raijeli Daveua was shown a yellow card moments later for a high tackle as the Fijiana led 12 nil at halftime.

Naimasi got her double early in the second half following yet another good defensive display before Luisa Tisolo scored Fiji’s fourth try.

Vasiti Solikoviti and Tokasa Seniyasi sealed their Olympic ticket with two late tries.

Fijiana coach Saiasi Fuli said the team worked hard to qualify for the Olympics.

‘Hats off to the girls for the hard work in the last six weeks coming back from Glendale that was part of the plan to rest some of the key players and freshen up for the big one this Oceania and we are glad and I have to congratulate the girls for the hard work in the last few weeks’.

The Fijiana will now focus on the Dubai 7s later this month.
