The Fiji Airways women’s 7s side lost 20-14 to Spain in the challenge trophy final at the Colorado tournament in USA this morning.

The side was down 15-7 at half time.

Naina Baleca and Vasiti Solikoviti scored a try each in the game.

Fijiana defeated China 17-14 in the challenge trophy semifinal.

In the pool matches yesterday, the Alivereti-Doviverata-coached side failed to win any of its three pool games.

The side was thumped 59-7 by Ireland, then lost to France by 45-12 and went down against Canada 26-7.

The Fijiana women’s side is in the 10th place with three points.
