The TFL Fijiana side lost it’s first match at the Sao Paulo against Australia 26-17 today.

Fiji played gallantly against the Women’s World Sevens Series leaders as they both teams scored two tries each in the first half, the Fijians trailing 14-12 at the break.

The Aussie Pearls used their experience in the second half to dot down another two tries while Fiji managed only one more try.

Fiji’s next match is against Canada at 4.50am while they face Ireland in their last match at 7.34am.
