For the first time, Fiji will host the IRB Women’s Rugby Oceania qualifier in August.

Nine teams (Papua New Guinea, the Cook Islands, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, New Zealand and world champions, Australia) will compete in the qualifier and whoever wins, will move on to India for the Asia qualifier in October.

From there, three teams excluding Australia and New Zealand who have already qualified will advance to the World Cup next year.

The Oceania qualifier will be held on the 3rd and 4th of August at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
