Fijiana feel the pressure

All eight women’s sevens rugby teams are in Lautoka with less than 24 hours before the Oceania Championship kicks off at Churchill Park.
Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, the Cook Islands and the Solomon Islands will take to the field and Fijiana coach, Elenoa Kunatuba admits, the pressure is on for the hosts.
“Cook Islands have some Australian and New Zealand-based players. they have a totally different team from the one at the Pacific Games, they have three to four experienced players and young players are new so we don’t know what’s up their sleeves.”
Games begin from noon on Friday.
Fiji plays the Cook Islands at 12.44pm followed by Tonga at 2.26pm then New Zealand at 4.30pm.
Live commentaries of Fiji’s games will air on Radio Fiji One with the voice of rugby, Graham Eden.
