The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side is expecting a crucial opening match against Spain in the Rugby 7s World Cup later this month.

Fiji who finished ninth in the last world cup in 2013, will face a Spanish side which reached the semi-final the same year.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula says they need to do everything right in order to begin the World Cup campaign with a win.

“Spain ahead of us. We want to beat Spain and we go out there as a team, play as a team and play well to beat Spain.”

Meanwhile, the Fiji men’s team is currently camping in Utah and the 13 member squad will be named on the 18th of this month.

Fiji opens its campaign against the winner of Qualifying Match 7, either Japan or Uruguay on the 21st of this month.
