National badminton rep Chang-Ho Kim will be joining his coach Robbie Thackham in New Zealand this Sunday.
Kim will be away on a two week training and will participate in the New Zealand under 19 national tournament next week.
The 17 year old Korean born says he knows the competition won’t be easy but he will do his best to prepare himself for the Youth Olympics.
“In the Youth Olympics I’m looking forward to win in some games and play a good game with the opponents.”
Meanwhile, Kim and female table tennis player Grace Yee are the first two athletes who have qualified for Team Fiji in the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in October.
The Youth Olympic will be held from the 6th to the 18th of October in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
