The Vodafone Fiji Women’s Football side went down 8-nil against New Zealand in the final of the OFC Nations Cup.

New Zealand led 4-nil at half time.

Fiji created history by reaching its first ever final but fell shot against a strong Kiwi outfit.

New Zealand has now qualified to the FIFA World Cup which will be held in France next year.

Meanwhile, Papua New Guinea thumped New Caledonia 7-1 in the third place play-off.
