Fiji Women's football team to the Pacific Games

It will be a final from the first match for the Vodafone Fiji women’s football side at the Pacific Games.

This as there are no semi-finals but the top two teams after pool play qualify for the Gold medal play-off.

The top two qualifier format makes it tough for any team taking part in the competition.

“There is no semi-final in the women’s football, so the one that comes at the top of the pool directly qualifies for the gold play-offs, so we want to be that team from our pool”

Rodu says sticking to the game plan and playing the cards right is what will be needed.

Fiji will be battling with Tonga, New Caledonia, American Samoa and hosts Samoa in the pool stages.

The Vodafone Fiji women’s team will start its campaign against American Samoa in the 2019 Pacific games in Samoa.
