Fiji wins two more gold medals

The Fiji lawn bowls side has raked in two gold medals at the Pacific Games underway in Papua New Guinea.

In the men’s singles, Semesa Naiseruvati beat his opposition from the Norfolk Island, Philip Jones, to nail the gold.

The women’s triples team of Litia Tikoisuva, Shreyl Mar and Elizabeth Moceiwai won the gold beating Niue in the final.

The women’s pairs won silver, losing to PNG in the final, while the men’s four took out bronze beating the Norfolk Islands.

This takes Team Fiji’s medal tally to 27 gold, 33 silver and 26 bronze medals.

PNG still leads with 50 gold, 39 silver and 37 bronze medals, while New Caledonia is second with 44 gold, 37 silver and 35 bronze.

Tahiti is third on 29 gold and 24 silver and 24 bronze.
