Weightlifting Fiji is looking to a good finish in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
General Secretary Ritesh Ratiram says they know that their athletes are capable and can compete at any international level.
He says they will have three months in camp together to prepare for the 2018 Commonwealth Games before the final squad is named in March.
“We have three trials and the first one this month at the Hyundai national fitness centre and it’s to see where they are because they know right after the Pacific Mini Games they need to continue with their training.”
The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held from the 4th to the 15th of April.
