November 14, 2014 12:25 am

The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 football team and Vanuatu’s club Amicale FC took time out of their busy schedules preparing for next week’s OFC President’s Cup in New Zealand to meet students from Henderson Intermediate and Lincoln Heights School yesterday.

Fiji U-20 midfielder Garish Prasad says he was just as impressed by the students and their skills.

Prasad says this was his first experience and it was good to meet the children.

Former national rep and Amicale captain Esava Naqeleca says interacting with children is part of his club’s philosophy, which is why they leaped at the chance to be involved.

The school visits will continue today with Bahrain club Busaiteen FC visiting Waitakere SDA and Bodden Town FC from the Cayman Islands calling in on Flanshaw Road School.

Meanwhile, the Fiji U20 will be playing Amicale in its opening match at the President’s Cup in New Zealand on Monday at 7.30pm.
The second pool match is against Busaiteen of Bahrain next Friday at 7.30pm.
